VOIE Terms of Service
From everyone at VOIE — thank you for trusting us with your projects, invoices, and time.
Millions of freelancers and teams use VOIE every day. These Terms keep everything fair, safe, and running smoothly.
1. Who's who
→ VOIE, LLC.
→ the VOIE web app, mobile apps, desktop apps, APIs, and every feature we ship.
→ the person or company that owns the VOIE account.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and enabling 2FA (we'll nag you until you do).
You must be a human. No bots, no scrapers, no fake sign-ups.
You are fully responsible for everything posted or done under your account — including by teammates or clients you invite.
Do not use VOIE to break the law, spam, harass, or do anything illegal or unethical. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
3. Payment, refunds & plan changes
Free plan = truly free. No card, no ads, no data sales.
Paid plans: pay upfront via Stripe. Trial length is shown at sign-up.
No payment after trial → account freezes → auto-cancels after 30 days of inactivity.
Upgrades take effect instantly. Downgrades start next cycle.
All fees exclude taxes. We collect & remit VAT/GST where required.

4. Cancellation & termination
Cancel any time from Settings → Billing → "Cancel plan". One click, no questions.
Content disappears instantly. Deleted from live servers immediately, from backups in 60 days max.
No prorated refunds for partial months.
We may suspend or delete accounts for abuse, non-payment, or any reason. (We'll always try to warn you first.)
Abuse of our team = instant termination.
5. Service & price changes
Long-term Commitment
We will support VOIE until the internet ends.
Fair Notice
We may retire features or raise prices. Existing paid users get 30 days notice + grandfathering when possible.
Transparency
Check all historic changes on GitHub.
6. Uptime, security & privacy
Resource Management
We may throttle accounts that hog resources (we'll email you first).
Data Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Data Access Policy
We only look at your data:
7. Copyright & content
Your Content
Your projects, files, and invoices stay 100% yours.
You grant us a limited license to show your content inside VOIE.
Copyright Compliance
Don't upload anything that violates U.S. copyright law.
VOIE Intellectual Property
We own VOIE's code, design, and logos. Ask permission before using them.
8. API terms
Abuse Policy
Abuse → rate-limit or ban.
Privacy First
No surveillance apps. Time-tracking is okay; spying is not.
Third-Party Apps
Third-party integrations are not our responsibility.
9. Liability (the serious bit)

VOIE is provided "as-is". We work hard to keep it fast and secure, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or that it will fit every workflow.
In Plain English
If something breaks and you lose an hour (or even a client), we're sorry — but legally we're not on the hook for lost profits, data, or anything else. By using VOIE you accept that risk.
Maximum Liability
Max liability = what you paid us in the last 12 months.
